After changing to an MSD box while the car is running I can hear a buzzing from the speakers even when the radio is off - however the noise goes away if I turn off the electric fuel pump. When I turn it back on the noise doesn't come back immediately but does come back within a few minutes. Obviously I can't leave the fuel pump off long enough to do more thorough testing than that, but it seems that when the car first starts it doesn't make the sound and then once it reaches a certain RPM it comes on and stays on. I can't tell specifically what RPM it happens at because you can't hear the buzzing over the motor unless you're idle.
My first Corvette electrical ghost. Ugh. Any ideas?
Is it the new digital or the old analog, I know the analog will buzz I had that with my stereo when I used the cassette player with the electric motor. MSD said to try a noise suppressor I haven't tried it yet,

That filter works great I have used it twice now with great success however the OP problem seems to be with the fuel pump. Anyway make sure all ground are solid, run wires directly to the neg terminal of the battery if you have to.
Btw, the fuel pump was there before the MSD and I didn't have this feedback. It seems to act like an amplifier, with the fuel pump on I can hear the buzzing, with it off I can't hear it from the drivers seat but if I crawl back it's still there just more faint.
Looks like that noise filter might do the trick, I'll see if any of the local shops have one and if not I'll order it online. Will let you know if it does the trick.
As for the exhaust, it's pretty loud now, once I'm moving I can't hear it only at idle.

Make sure you install the filter as close to the box as possible and the positive wire goes to the positive starter lug and the negative to a good ground on the frame or straight to the battery
