Default Harmonic Balancer Question
how do you get enough leverage to get the required torque on the HB bolt? it keeps spinning while i am trying to torque

i used impact wrench, torqued it fine

That's not a good sign. Did you install the damper by screwing in the bolt? That's a sure-fire way to strip the threads. The solution is to heli-coil the threads (or drill/tap for a larger bolt).

sorry for not being clear - too much wine the bolt is not spinning - the crank spins as i try to torque.

If you have a manual trans, put it in gear and apply the parking brake.
