That's not a good sign. Did you install the damper by screwing in the bolt? That's a sure-fire way to strip the threads. The solution is to heli-coil the threads (or drill/tap for a larger bolt).

sorry for not being clear - too much wine the bolt is not spinning - the crank spins as i try to torque.
