Default How do I replace the window rollers?

I'm in the process of restoring my door glass. I have the drivers side out and last night changed the hardware on the glass. All four tracks are out and have been degreased and cleaned. I will use white lithium grease on them at the time of reassembly. Now I want to replace the window rollers on the regulator. I bought the Window Roller Kit from Zip Corvette. I don't have the regulator or the attached arms out of the car. I can take it out, I just need some guidance on how to remove the assembly.

So, the rollers look riveted onto the regulator arms. I can drill them out to remove them, but how do I attach the new ones? Do I have to use my bench vise to press the heads down like rivets?

Step 20 from the link
20: Start the reassembly by installing the regulator first. Note that we have also installed the regulator channel on the regulator arm. This makes re-assembly easier. Bolt the regulator into place and re-connect any wiring. Move the regulator and channel into place and re-install it aligning the bolts and marks that you made during disassembly.
It says the regulator is bolted in place. I can't seem to find where those bolts are. The only thing I can figure holding it in place is three rivets on the metal door skin. Where are the regulator bolts?

The regulator on my 70 is held in place with 3-7/16 bols. One to the lower right of the driver's side PW motor and 2 about 4 inches apart and about 8 inches above the PW motor. I don't know of any rivets. Mine is a 70 with power windows if that makes any difference. If yours is manual it could be different.

I checked it over again with a flashlight. Then I sat and looked at my AIM, both agree that my regulator is riveted in place. I'm going to drill out the rivets and replace them with some nuts and bolts.

About the regulator attachment question-here's part of a regulator spring replacement post from Jim on this board:

"Easier to pull the regulator out. If you choose this route. Jam something in the window to keep it up. Drill out the 5 rivits that hold the regulator in...unless it was out before then should be nuts and bolts. disconnect the regulator from the window. Disconnect it from the tracks. Use the power window switch to compress the regulator down. Pull it through the access port at the bottom. Put the spring on. Compress the regulator to fit the other tongue of the spring in its spot, Reconnect the power. Compress the regulator. Put it back in through the access port. Get yourself 5 bolts (short as possible that do the job and 5 lock nuts). Reattach the regulator. Power it up to line up with the window. Reattach the window and track. Check to see if the window opens and closes with out a hitch. You may need to realign it."

I don't recall when I copied this advice. Good luck.
