Alignment Tools?
I'm planning the purchase of a camber/caster gauge and was wondering about practical experience anyone might have. The two that I'm familiar with are from Longacre Racing (I think this uses a magnetic adapter) and from Pole Position Racing Products. PP has a gauge that clamps onto the wheel "lips".

I bought mine from Speedway. It is similar to the Longacre unit. They are pretty easy to use. Mine is magnetic and you have to remove the wheel bearing dust cap in order to get a surface that us true to mount it, but that's no big deal.

I have the Howl magnetic one where you remove the dust cap also and it holds to this flat surface. I have a carpet under the car, a flat carpet, I put 2 flat pieces of thin sheet metal under the tires and on top of the carpet and mark lines at about 20 degrees on the carpet. Grap the tire and effortlessly it moves the tires on the metal plates over the carpet 20 degrees left and right. Works like a charm. I get better alignments myself then in the last 2 alignments in a shop. You can also experiment with camber caster settings. Toe is another problem
