i think this conversation popped up in OT, about the prices of engines. a lot of guys spend way to much and/or dont shop around. i was 
at how much they had spent on their engines and they were even proud of it. ive got about 4 g's in my 383 and it has ALL the goodies, but i did put it together myself. make sure your getting forged internals, but i dont see a problem with a 4g 383 at all. 
oh, and go for the big HP. id guesstimate mine is putting out close to 475hp ( 11.40 in the 1/4 ) and i already am tired of how slow this car is.
