Now I'm **really** embarrassed...
DaBo, you nailed it. The blood drained out of my head when I read your post and realized that those brackets *are* off my 1988 Chevy 2500. I took those off when I put the plow on and they must've gotten mixed in with the Corvette parts somehow. Without thinking twice about them, they got the full restoration treatment along with all the real Corvette parts!!
I cannot thank all of you enough, especially DaBo, since I have been going absolutely crazy trying to figure out how I could have missed such a beefy bracket on the Corvette!! I only hope I can repay the favor in the future...
