Default custom side yokes - ?

Heyguys, im a long time reader, first time poster.

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get 28 spline side yokes?
i got a good deal on an eaton carrier but it takes 28 spline. so the options im considering are to buy a set of those, have a custom set made or buy 30 spline spider gears and yokes. main determining factor being price on all this.

if anyone can point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it.

I'd suggest getting in touch with GTR1999 or TRACDOGG2 (sp?). They are differential experts and would most likely know if what you are looking for is available and where to get it.

The corvette spiders are 17 spline stock but can be changed to TOM's spiders for 30 spline. You can buy them from several places or direct from Tom if you like. The posi case will need to be machined to accept them and there's a trick to the axles you should do if you're going to use them on the street. Since many of my posts get pulled when ever my name comes up in a common thread with vendors, I'm not mentioning what it is but it's important. If you want to contact me I'll be glad to help you. I plan on setting up a couple of 10-12 bolt posi's when I get a chance and will be using the 30 spline spiders and axles for st/strip applications.

Good luck with the car.

If it takes 28 spline side yokes sounds like it is not for a corvette. Corvettes are 17 spline stock or 30 spline custom.

no, its not for a vette, its an eaton 19557, and the vette equiv is 19670 or 19673, the difference being the splines on the spider gear (and the ring gear it accepts).

Thanks for the advice. after looking into the price of a 30 spline conversion, i think ill downgrade to the toms HT 17 spline spider gears. the unit could use some new springs anyway.

racing on a budget is hard. (yeah, we all know, just felt like reiterating)

thanks for all the advice guys
