Default Air Cleaner Doesn't Fit

I bought a 14" drop down air cleaner for my 72 but the base is hitting the ignition coil. Is the coil mounted in the wrong spot or do I need a drop down offset air cleaner? The coil mounting looks a little suspect. Any help greatly appreciated.

How easily would you be able to modify the coil bracket...or make your own, or move it, so the air cleaner doesn't interfere with it?

Move the coil to a cooler place.

I could move it. Its mounted to the intake manifold. I've heard of the air cleaner base hitting an hei distributor, but not the coil. I'm just wondering if there is an easy fix.

If you don't want to move the coil, look on ebay for an offset dropped base. I bought a new 14" dropped, offset aluminum dropped base for $15.

I got it. Thanks for the suggestions. I just bent the coil bracket back a little so its slanted back. The base fit fine.
