here is pro billet in my 70

you will also need to mount the ignition box
on my 70 it is on the radiator shoud you can
almost see it the red spot up by the hood,
on my 71 it is behind the egg crate

pro billet with blaster 3 coil I would go with a blaster two
if you go with the msd set up. The
complete set up is also in the $700 range
and to answer your question I think no way

Thanks, I like the idea of putting the box behind the egg crate, was the wire harness long enough.

I mounted my 6AL box in front of the radiator and the wires had to be lengthened. Nice place to put it too

I have installed a MSD 8572 in my '70 L-46 roadster. It does fit in the factory shielding, but it takes some planning and work. You need to carefully install the MSD in the right position to meet your timing issues as well as position the distributor to clear the shielding. The vacuum advance can and the tach cable add to the challenge due to lack of space. You also need to allow enought room for adjusting timing.

As to benefits, performance is noticeably improved. Idle is better, clear through WOT. I still have stock 11.00 to 1 heads, and detonation is non-existant at normal driving acceleration, and minimal at WOT.

Lastly, I installed the 6AL box in the passenger side, behind the egg crate side vent. The wiring harness is more than long enough to make the necessary connections. You'll like the choice if you do it.

Thanks, I'm reinstalling the motor this weekend, increased compression to 10:1, roller cam, edelbrook performer and holley 650 double pumper, moderate head and valve work, and the MSD package, I'm hoping for a reliable street car.
I'm not sure on the exhaust yet, anyone have thoughts on headers vs. stock manifold?
