HI ALL, thinking of replacing new door cylinder locks. Of all three manuals not much about the locks. It looks like a 5-minute job to put the locks in and 1-hour to take off the interior panel. they are NOT power locks. Is there any site with good picture and tech? thanks

I dont know why you would want to do this, but, you are correct. The lock itself has a clip to hold it on. EASY. Removing the door panel takes more time. Now, If you want to do this, take the locks to a locksmith and get them keyed to your original code so you wont have so many different keys. But, you could also just take the old ones to the same locksmith and get them serviced with the same result, except, the cost of the locks.
Hi i guess i didn't say that when i got the car no door keys and only one ing. key.
Had the ing. lock changed and i bought new door sets with keys so thats while i want to change can't lock it. Have to leave wife in car when i walk away from it, hope nobody steals her (the Vett) jsr
I've replaced door locks, and the only PIA I encountered was the spring clip that holds the lock assy in against the back side of the door skin. I ended up re-using the original clips instead of the ones that came with the locks. Takes 2 people, needle nosed pliers, lots of patience and four miniature hands - - - no trouble! BTW, when doing this job, be sure you like the orientation of the black gasket before installing the clip. Concentricity cannot be adjusted once "clipped"
the easy way to put the door lock ***** back on is to use a deep well socket and a rubber ball hammer , once you get the brass looking metal clip pins almost back on tao the door lock ****,,,or you can simply omit the deep well socket and gently bang it with the rubber mallet, anyhow this only takes one person, i have done sevral c3s this way without any damage to the door lock ***** and i use the new locking pins
