What type of rebuild kit you looking for? Basic one starts around 200 or so going all the way up to 1K. I did a basic kit on mine last winter and loved the results. Pretty easy to do yourself.
VBP, Ecklers, Zip, just about anyone will have the same kit for around the same price. VBP has a sale right now.
Here is what it includes for 219.
Name: Front End Rebuild Kit, 1963-82 Vette
Desc: All 4 ball joints, All 4 tie rod ends, Tie rod sleeves, Heavy duty idler arm, All control arm bushings.
Well you really have only a few options.
1- go cheap and buy any one of the "kits" sold $150-$200. These look great in the catalogs but they're imported and the ball joint are known to fail in low mileage. Chances are you'll be doing the job again.
2-Buy the best parts, MOOG, and do it once. No one I know of is selling the actual top quality MOOG in kit form. I could be wrong but some are selling the lower grade MOOG(imported). I looked around a LOT last year to put together a full USA Moog kit at a reasonable cost and couldn't do it. All sources came up imported. I ended up at Rock Auto for the USA MOOGs, $400 total. I had a full catalog kit here for years and just sold it for $75 to get rid of it. It was new in the box but imported, I told the buyer but at that cost it was worth it.
Good luck be careful of what you get. I would look locally first to see what may be on the shelf.
