Re: '69 owners can you answer a question for me? (Tom McCabe)
the three port washers have two outputs for the wipers (one each) and the other is the input from the washer jar. On 5 port washers, two for the head lights, two for the wipers and one input from the washers jar... :chevy
Re: '69 owners can you answer a question for me? (Bob Jenkins)
Tom - Bob's right. The 69s should have the 5 port pumps which are not made anymore so they are big $$$s. I have the 3 port replacement like apparently you have on yours. The large center port is the input from the washer jar which is located on the pass side above fender well or bag (AC cars) under the drivers fender just in front of the firewall.
BTW, checked my large SS T-shaped trim under my t-tops last night and I have the holes on the leading edge; never seen one with no holes on top like you posted yesterday.

Thanks to all for the replys, is it different for an A/C car? the hose kit I got from Doc rebuild has the headlights going into on line, there is a line that has a Y on it comming offf the drivers side bottom port, I think I have 3 ports on each side of the pump is this right?

Yeah Mark, you are lucky becaause you do not want to "need" one of those 5 port pumps. However... the little solenoid thingy on the drivers side of the pump IS unique to our cars...You don't want to "need" one of those either. :D
Re: '69 owners can you answer a question for me? (Sir Tripower)
I'm a bit confused reading this. 69's used a, what I will call, a "2 part pump". This is not to be confused with the 5 hole or 5 port pump used in 70 and up. The 69 pump has a separate piece connected to it, controlled by an electrical relay, which controls the headlight washers. This part of the pump has 2 ports. The "windshield wiper" portion of the pump is a 3 port design. Don't have a diagram here with me, but though a series of "T's" and "Y's" the 3 port windshield portion feeds washer fluid to the 2 port headlight system. The 69 pump is tough to find. It was used only on 69 Corvettes and Rally Sport Camaro's which had the "hidden headlight" option. Hope this helps. Chuck

Chuck,
On my Headlight part of the motor I actually have 3 ports, 2 smaller(headlights I believe) and one larger (resevoir i believe) but the replacement lines I got from Doc Rebuild have the headlights meet and go back to the pump as one.
Re: '69 owners can you answer a question for me? (Tom McCabe)
Tom. Here's the real scoop. Checked the AIM and checked my car. How quickly I forget :) Check section 1, sheet D 8.5 in the AIM.
Here's the way the hoses go.
On the passengers side of the wiper motor, you have 3 ports, the center one goes to the reservoir, the other two are connected together as follows. 2 short pieces of hose run from these ports under the motor to a plastic "Y", they then become 1 hose. That hose connects to the OUTERMOST port on the drivers side undersurface of the pump The red stripe hose to the headlight washer connects to the INNERMOST drivers side undersurface port. The windshield washer hose comes out of the DRIVERS side horizontal nipple, and goes to a "T" one way valve, which splits in into 2...one to the passengers, the other to the drivers WS washer. I'm sure Dr. Rebuild sold you the right "stuff". He's rarely wrong. Can't get a pic for you...too much other stuff in the way. Chuck
