Composite spring selection
I am doing a complete rear end rebuild on the '80 driver and intend to install a composite spring in the pocess. This car is intended to be my cruiser and I am keeping the drive train stock. I was wondering what weight spring to use for both good handling and best ride. I am not planning on installing a sway bar but do intend to go with the Bilstein HD shocks. I like the looks of the VBP spring and they come in 300# , 330# and 360# weights and shouldn't effect the ride height. Any advice would be appreciated. OH, and thanks to Mr. Ramadei for the excellent tech article on the trailing arm rebuild. It made the job much easier than expected. I'll post some pics when completed.

I had the 330 and I though the ride was too bouncy. I then replaced it with a 360 and love it. I also used 460 springs in the front with bilsteins all the way around and the ride is excellent compared to factory.
