changing bumpers
on a friends car [77coupe]i am replacing the rear bumper as the car was a stolen recovered that he bought , they cut the bumper off leaving the fiberglas intact,it has a steel brace with threaded studs arround the top ,should i use it or the one that came with the bumper which requires scres arround it ,don;t care about originality as its a low budget hotrod project

i actually got them off ,as sugested i figured it was a later bumper so it should be improved but its only a 78 or79 ,it has a small 'corvette 'on it and no spoiler
