Since we are on the subject, GM now supplies a roller bearing that
is a replacement for the bronze bushing.
I replaced mine with the roller unit. (Also used grease method to remove the old one).

Vettfixr, I am in the middle of clutch replacement right now. After work Friday I am stopping by Autozone to rent the tools to remove and replace pilot bearing. Ooopss. I mean bushing. If I remember correctly it was $80 refundable upon return.

Wow, I never realized that many people have done this. I thought I was just being ****, replacing something that didn't need replacing. Thanks for all the tips. :flag
