Windows Rattle
I have a 1979 corvette and i am trying to figure out why my windows are shaking. I replaced the felp bumpers on the window frame when i did my redid my interior, I replaced all the weather stripping and also those pads and now my windows are very slow coming up and actually bounce and rattle around. I would love to find a way so the windows go up like my newer car..
Any Suggestions?

Take the door panel off, lower the window 3/4 down, grab the window and look for whats moving. It should be one of a few things, rollers, window track, out of adjustment. Run the window up and down and find where they are binding, binding will cause the window to rise slow.

Did you adjust the anti-rattle cushions after installing them? They need to be adjusted to the glass. If you still have rattling, along with binding, you probably need new rollers. There are 4 in each door, 2 riveted to the regulator, 1 bolted to the glass and 1 that slides in a track that's bolted to the glass. With use, these rollers get worn and sloppy, causing the glass to rattle around and bind when raising and lowering the glass.

Ordered the Window Repair kit today
Just got off the phone with Willcox corvette and ordered there window rebuild kits for my car. When I was talking to the guy on the phone when i described what was going on he was like yeah its your rollers on the window this should definatly take care of the problem.
