Can anyone tell me the symptons of a carby that might be leaking.
Symptoms I have, gaseous whitish cloud on start up, very noticeable, with a small amount of blue smoke and overall oil loss.
The car is a weekend driver generally but these conditions can occur overnight.
Car performs extremely well in normal drive mode, very small amount of mist noticeable with a rev, the car has a dual exhaust with no cats.
White at exhaust is water. If it is cold, it can be condensation, otherwise it may be a leak from your intake's water passeges into the crankcase. Blue smoke is oil, usually from bad rings or valve seals.
If a carb is leaking fuel, you can pull out the dipstick and it will smell like gasoline.
