I found an interesting link on the web about air cleaners, including the height above carb flange, with and without the retaining nut, a rare info...
I think it could be interesting for some of us with low clearance between carb and hood...
5 pages, good quality color pictures, covering most famous brands, pdf format.
Some dimensions are in mm so just divide by 25.4 for inches.
