Default 76 Gas tank line question

I have the rear bumper cover off the car awaiting new and have dropped the fuel tank for some maintenance while its convienent to get to.

Its in very good condition (including the bladder) but all the rubber lines are toast.

The fuel return/supply (passenger side) will get new hoses but the drivers side vent hose has now where to go (the 2 into 1 with "t" joint).

The whole evap/vent system from the engine compartment back was removed at some point and the rubber lines from the tank were just clamped to a remaining 2' section of steel line that is still mounted to the frame.

What is my best course of action when I re-install the tank? Can I just cut one piece of fuel line 4" long and clamp it to the two vent barbs on the tank closing that system? Or should I put it back the way it was which seems a little bubba. I kept the bladder in the tank for safety if that matters because the steel tank guard has been removed (rusted out).

One vent is for inside the tank and the other looks like it for between the steel tank body and the rubber bladder(?).

Thanks in advance for tips

I think you can just clamp it over, as it is, assuming you have a vented gas cap.

Nothing wrong with leaving it the way you found it.
At least it makes a good vent.
Some day you may want to run a new line to the cannister up front.

I suppose I could but thats not what I'm after cause its not a daily driver. As far as making it "right", there isn't an evap tank, etc. Engine compartment wise its all performance based (not OEM) and all the emission components have been deleted.

Anyone see any problems with hooking these two vents together if the gas cap is a vented type? My main concern was collapsing the bladder..

Anyhoo, Checked last night and found the locking tank cap is vented (one way check valve) so I guess It'll be good to go.
