anti theft system how does it work
can anyone explain to me how the anti theft system in a 1978 corvette works, my relay seams to be draining my battery. Can I simple un hook it? Not sure how it works anyway.

its mainly just a bunch of switches in the open position, waiting to be triggered or closed and then locking in a relay and flasher (pulser) that goes to a horn.

Keep us posted...I've started to troubleshoot my system because its not working but I started with the alarm horn which was not working.

Turns out Theft relay was not bad, alarm was simply going off and since the previous owner had removed the theft horn only sign that alarm was activated is the battery would be dead after week or so. Found out how to turn system on and off then disconnected wire at relay to keep alarm from accidentally draining the battery, since there is no way to know if it sounding.
