Default compression ratio VS compression.. what do you have?

I am running 10.5:1 compression ratio, after doing a compression check, (Had a broken spring) I was running between 170 and 185.... What is everyone else running? That is what is you compression ratio and what is your actual compression? I understand that there may be variables, I just want to know what everyone else is at? and I understand + or - 10% is acceptable.. is this a true statement?

you are correct there are variables such as cam configuration and the size of the cc of the head that will affect compression. I am running a small block with 11.6:1 Ross pistons and Trick Flow twisted wedge heads. My static compression ranges from 205-213.

My bone stock 427/390hp with 10.25:1 cr registered 195 lbs in each and every cylinder when I bought it two and a half years ago. BTW, every compression guage is calibrated differently, so you really can't compare the readings from one to the readings from another. The real key is that the readings on your car's cylinders don't differ by more than 10% from the highest to the lowest.
