Power Steering Pump and Pulley
So, my original plan was to pull this pulley and mount it on a new production "Tuff Stuff" Saginaw pump from Summit, for installation on my ZZ383. First off, what is the correct way to remove this type pulley without damaging it? I rented a power steering pulley removal tool, but it was designed for a pressed on straight shaft application, mine is a tapered shaft with a locknut threaded on to hold the pulley. Second issue, I am just assuming, but it would be my guess that the "Tuff Stuff" pumps are not available in a tapered shaft/lock nut configuration.. I really have no interest in rebuilding this pump, was hoping to use this pulley on a newly manfactured unit. Any suggestions?
Any info is appreciated!
