Just removed the heater box on my 69. I was told that if no air no problem from the engine side. I see the actual core but am having a hard time removing it. I see a clip on the side of the core but it doesn't look removable. Is there something that I'm missing. It seems to be in there pretty tight. Thanks for the help.
I just finished rebuilding my '69 heater box (no A/C), but it was out of the car. The clips on both sides do come off, but I had to use a screwdriver to pop off the outboard one. There are two tangs that pop into holes that I had to work loose.
The clip on the inboard side has two screws that should allow it to come off.
I have a couple of photos that might help, but I haven't figured out how to get them into a thread yet. If you can't get the core out, let me know and I'll try to sort out the photo issue...
