Does anybody know if a all 71 BB's had a rear sway bar and what size? I bought my car in pieces and dont know if its missing or never had it? Thanks..

All big blocks had a rear sway bar and they were all 9/16".

99% sure this sway bar of mine was not factory, if not just because of the drive train but for the nice finish that remains on it today; no way it's 35 years old....

i think they were 7/16 and 9/16.

OK thanks. yes another missing part I need..lol So from the cost standpoint, should I look for a used one or aftermarket? I dont realy need one but if its suppose to there I will end up puttin one back on.

Why? (That's rhetorical, btw.)

Of course, should you just have to do it, if you're perfectly happy with the balance of your car now, you could always run with one end unlinked whenever you're not trying to earn points for "correctness".

I dont know yet how my car handles as it is still in pieces as I bought it. Theres several pieces that I dont need but still repairing,refinishing and putting back on the car. I just like everything to be there and working as intended. I am not concerned about points or correctness at all. I think its mainly just my OCD kicking in most the time. Like the w/washer pump, I will most likley never ever use it, but it will work when I get done with it. So I dont need a sway bar cause I wont drive the car like that enough to know the difference if its there or not. But I will have one just because it will bug me if I dont.. stupid I know, OCD makes me do stupid stuff sometimes..lol
