Re-cover steeringwheel...

Is there a simple (or not so simple) HOW TO on re-covering steering wheels?
(c3 in paticular obviously)

You will hear about lots of options but here is one that is great. Give them info about your wheel and car and they will make a custom inexpensive stitch on cover. It's very simple to stitch it on yourself.

I bought a "snap-on" neoprene cover, then I stitched a leather cover over that designed for thick rimmed wheels. It looks great and feels nice (thick and padded like modern wheels). It was a little time consuming to sew on, but worth it!

i just bought a replacement one from ecklers for 100 bux, the diameter is a little smaller which i like cause i can drop it down an extra notch without pinning my legs. I still have the original wrapped up in the garage
