Hello all. I have a 1976 Stingray that I recently purchased. I have been having trouble with a slow left blinker when my headlights are off and no left blinker or left brake light when the headlights are on. I have replaced all fuses except for the acc fuse, which continuously pops when i put it in. I have also replaced the flashers and checked the brake light switch, which I believe is making contact and functioning properly (right brake light illuminates). Both headlights, sidemarkers, emergency flashers, and tail lights operate properly (left dimmer that the right).......Any ideas guys?
In addition, my radio isn't functioning. Any ideas on where to start looking?
I'd check your voltage - make sure it's adequate ( > 13 v). Then look for bad grounds with bad wires, rust at the connections, ground wires from the lights, etc. With the acc fuse popping all the time, you've got a short in that circuit somewhere - chances are that the other circuits are not quite up to snuff either.
Radio should have a yellow power wire. Check all your fuses and I agree with the above post. That's why old British cars had all those problems with the Lucas Electronics... If nothing else works, replace the bulbs. I know it doesn't make sense, but sometimes it just doesn't...
remmy, check to make sure the bulb is in the socket correctly. NS this little thing drove me crazy for a week until I pulled the bulb and installed it properly. Thanks
