Any experience with Duracool????
Duracool is a R-12 replacement that is being heavily marketed here in Fl. It SUPPOSEDLY is compatible with R-12. Has anybody here used this product either in thier Vette or other car?

If you go to the Duracool web page, and look at the MSDS sheets and read the other narrative, you will see that the product is "flammable" and contains propane and methane.
Not for me.
I will pay high prices for R12 until no longer available, then do the R134a switch. That will hold me for many years in my estimation.

The EPA web site at http://www.epa.gov/spdpublc/title6/snap/macssubs.html states that Duracool is an unacceptable substitutes, i.e. not approved, and goes on to state that it is a "flammable blend of hydrocarbons; insufficient data to demonstrate safety".
