I thought Wilcox had instructions but I looked for the link without success. Basically the dash must be pulled, steering wheel dropped and than you'll get to the tach board. Do a search...we've had several threads on the 75-77 over the past several months.
Thanks guys I found it at the corvette magazine site, which is very good. someone told me I could reach up and remove the circuit board without removing the dash, but dash has to be removed, which I did a few years back to replace the left front speaker.
On your 76, the left dash has to be pulled. The instructions Tom is looking for is under the Dash Pad Removal on the "Repair Help Section". There is no detail on how to remove the tach from the pad, but there is a detailed instruction sheet on how to remove the dash pad. http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=105
wilcox is right. I found the info on their site, but didn't take the time find it when I was writing the answering thread. I wanted to remove the tach while I had the seats and interior out to install the Wilcox carpeting, which is working out beautifully. Thanks Wilcox for a good product and a good price.

Thank You,

Willcox,
Is there an alphabetical subject index for all your Tech articles? I for one appreciate all your Tech support.
The best way to find a tech thread on the site is as follows:
Enter your year car first
Select "Repair and Install Help" from the center box on the site.
This will display all of the helps for your year car.
If you have a specific area such as wiper motor just enter "Wiper" in the search.
This is about the easiest way to search the sight; they are done in a separate section on the site that is not aligned to the regular site searches.
The help and repair pages are fun for me. It’s a way to give back to the people and the community that has made us successful for over thirty five years. As the saying goes, we are not the biggest, but we do try harder.
On a positive note: This section is also a way to put into text, things I’m sure I will forget! I really enjoy doing these and as I’ve stated in the past. . . We are not impervious to making mistakes, so if you do find one just let me know.
thanks again Wnilcox I followed your instructions in the last reply and found the answer to my problem with the carpet on the (behind the seat storage boxes) I ordered what I needed, Thanks again
