Help!!!! Got $$$$ Need info...
I have a 1979 L82 4 speed. Believe it to be a Borg Warner t-10...Is there any code on the case or does anyone know how to tell if I have a close ratio or a wide ratio unit? I want to get a rebuilt unit or maybe a new one from Richmond Gear but I don't know the gear ratio and don't want to get the wrong one???

I just heard from a guy in PA who builds these:
"to make sure its a t10 count the number of bolts in the side cover. if it has 9 its a t10. if for some reason its been changed and has 7 side cover bolts its a muncie.if its and original t10 it would be concidered a wide ratio with a 2.88 first gear. if you need one i can build you one. i just sold one on ebay last week. lease let me know if i can be of further help. thanks kevin. "
