Does anyone have pics and or diagram on how to install patriot lake sidepipes, any help would be greatly appreciated, just how to hook the pipes to the car, hooking them to my headers in no prob. Ordered a set, just wanted the info before they got here.

I have them on mine and you get the mounting brackets with the pipes.
I took of the rocker moldings and drilled two holes in the frame and then tapped them.
but measure first so you get them so close you can to the molding..
i needed to cut the molding a bit to get them as close as i wanted.

they are now almost against the molding but they do not touch

They have been on now for 4 years and they havent moved, just get some sealant on between the sidepipe and header before you push them together

Can you post a pic of the actual mounting bracket and how its attached to the frame? Thanks.

Wow stingraymaniac - from that first picture it seems as though there's not a lot of ground clearance. Is it just the picture angle that looks deceiving?

Ground clearance is fine theres alot of speed bumps around here and i havent had any problems.
The pipes are at the same heigh as the frame on the sides,i have lowered the car pretty much also..
I think the are at the same height as a pair of hookers because the headers are almost against the frame
The car is in vinter storage right now 30 miles from here, but i can get pics the next time im there

I made my own brackets to mount them to the frame. I did drill and tap the frame as described above. I used 2 bolts per bracket. I have mine a bit further away from the rocker than shown above. I did not want the rockers getting too hot. My car was a factory sidepipe car so the insulation was already on the frame under the door. These pics are the best I can do without removing the rockers. Hope this helps.

When you ordered the N-14 option for sidepipes you got several differences with that option. One of them was the additional fiberglass backed with foil insulation along the frame rail to prevent excess heat from transfering into the cabin. I guess nobody installing side pipes either Patriot or Hooker bothers to add this insulation during their install.
