Default TH400 to 2004r

I'm swapping a 2004r into my 69 coupe that currently has a TH400. I bought a new unit from a shop in Arizona, have the shiftworks kit and BTO crossmember. I have a couple of questions. I've searched, haven't been able to find what I need:

1) Flexplate - do I need a new one? If so, what do I need?

2) Yoke and Universal? I'm keeping the original drive shaft. What do I need to tell the parts store for a new one?

Sorry, dumb to these swaps, trying to learn from other posts, but not finding this info.

Hate to be the one to say it but you wasted some money on the bto crossmember the stock one is all you needed.
No change in the flex plate

2) Yoke and Universal? I'm keeping the original drive shaft. What do I need to tell the parts store for a new one? The yoke for a TH350, 200-4R and 700R4 are all the same but different then the TH400. Take the driveshaft and yoke to any autoparts store and ask for a offset universal. Common part for GM so they should have them on the self.

I did the swap a couple of years ago and have been ever since

Thanks guys! I'm new to the vette and 'the hot rodding' aspect, so just want to have everything lined up.

I went to headers and wanted to make sure that I have the clearance, so that's why i dumped money into the crossmember - hopefully it wasn't a mistake..... oh well.

It will give you more room for the pipes so I don't think it was a waist of money. I hope to buld my own before I replace my current exaust system.

Yes, it will fit, but NO you could not get the drive shaft outta there after it's all assembled, because most of the 350 yokes have no moveable bearing loops/retainers/caps on them, just the usual loop ears from other cars....I had one in my '72 with the 700 turbo for a long time, never had a issue with it, but when it came time to pull the 700, it became a PIA.....engine came forward, driveshaft released, because it was a Muncie car, the cross member cut, and tranny finally dropped....I was SO happy.....then the issue of the exhaust loops was finally addressed some years later when redoing into the 200 4r, at that point the bottom loops were cut and tops welded up to strengthen it now the exhaust hangs maybe a inch lower than 'normal' but I can remove the entire stockish square crossmember with just 4 bolts....2 for the tailshaft, and two into the frame stubs on each end.....

and since having a automatic car from the git go, IMO you did NOT waste your money on the aftermarket cross support....makes life SO much easier....but without cutting the body off the frame, and cutting/finishing down till a bolt in member can be used, well, at this point its just too much to bother with.....

gotta remember most of my mods predate ANY KITS that anyone ever conjured up for these sharks....doing the same thing, junkyard style....
