Bent cross shaft on lower control arm
I'm rebuilding the frontend on a '73 and found the lower control arm cross shaft is bent.......I'm pretty sure it should be straight ! I looked at the other side and it looks straight. I guess the PO forgot to mention it was in an accident. I'm hoping it will line up with an alingment, it drove straight but just didn't feel right ! Who is the best vendor to buy this?

Go to your local NAPA auto parts store and request one in MOOG brand.
-edit- if you must mailorder one, vendor Van Steel is as good as it gets when it comes to vette suspension ... they'll probably have MOOG also.

I dunno what other stores are in your area ... call a few and ask if they carry MOOG brand frontend parts ... MOOG best-known name & best quality for decades. MOOG is part of the Federal-Mogul family.

I just ordered it from Van Steel, that's where I got the rebuild kit.

Upper shaft kit K6104 (2 per car)
upper ball joint K6034 (2 per car)
Lower shaft kit K293 (2 per car)
lower ball joint K6035 (2 per car)
idler arm K6100 (1 per car)
tie rod end:
ES323R (2 per car)
ES323L (2 per car)
TR adjust sleeve ES677S (2 per car)
