I just took off the AIR compressor, EGR valve and the switches that go into the T-stat housing. I plugged the holes with brass pipe fittings and then created a metal plate to cover the EGR valve holes. I also removed the "spider lines that go into the exhaust manifold and just plugged those with brass fittings. The valve that is between the manifold and pipe (forgot the name) is still there in open postion- I think there is a spacer pipe that you need to buy if you remove that hardware.
