Default electrical question

1977 L48 with factory air. I just finished replacing my a/c compressor and accumulator/dryer last week. While poking around under the hood today, I discovered a two prong plug with what looks like a green and maybe blue wire attached. It was unplugged and just dangling. I found a two pronged switch located next to the accumulator and it looks pretty obvious that this is where the plug goes. I must have knocked it loose when I was installing the accumulator. I've been running the car all week with it unplugged, and now that I've plugged it in, I don't notice a difference in anything. Does anyone know what this plug and switch is for??? Sorry I don't have a picture.

Low pressure cut out a/c switch is on the accumulator, high pressure on the compressor.

This switch isn't actually attached to the accumulator, but it's right beside it. It probably is the low pressure switch. Thanks.
