Default correct way to raise front end

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I did a search & got nada.
I've jacked up the rear end & both sides, but never the front. I need to get jackstands underneath so both front wheels can be removed. Is there a correct sequence of events? Do I need to worry about 30 yr. old fiberglass , body mounts, frame, etc. or just jack one side up & then go to the other? Thanks!

I jack up my '71 from the front using a piece of 2x4 on the jack and mating it to the engine crossmember. You just have be make sure you don't mate the jack to the center of the crossmember. Either run the board front to back so it is applied evenly across the crossmember or contact the crossmember toward the front or back of it because in the center, it will dent.

This is probably not the proper way of doing it, but I have never had any repercussions from doing so and I will never lift my vette one side at a time.

Note: if you have T-Tops, always pop them loose prior to lifting your car regardless of where you put your jack.

I jack up one side and then the other. I have used a piece of wood on the engine crossmember as well. It depends on how I'm feeling at the moment.

Two floor jacks. One on each side just behind the jacking points at the front of each door. Block the rear wheels and jack up about 3 inches on each side until both wheel off the ground then place jack stands. Raises the car evenly with no twisting and no chance of tipping the jack stands as you raise the second side.
