It be red...
My 68 has paint! I finished up at 4:00 AM on Sunday morning.
Monday I broke out the 1500 grit paper. That first swipe with that sandpaper was hard to do. It looked so shiny, but it did have some orange peel. I sanded that baby all day Monday and part of Tuesday. I think notebook paper would have worked faster. Around noon on Tuesday I started buffing it out. Another slow process. I elected to use my DA sander for the job – mistake – to slow. I’m borrowing a ‘real’ buffer from a friend and will finish next weekend. I hope the urethane doesn’t get too hard by then.
Thanks to all who provided this paint rookie with all the help, information and encouragement. I hope to post some pics next week.
T ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
I wanted rally red, but PPG didn't have it available in a basecoart/clearcoat. I think it's called torch red. I guess I can join the red corvette registry now. hehe..
