Mounting an amp as well as a small sub (with own small amp) on back deck wall of my '72. Concerned about theft with these items. Looking for ideas regarding a false wall or some other item to hide these items without losing much room for my tops.
I made a false wall to mount my Amp and some speakers. It would work just as well to hide an Amp on the back wall. It only comes out about 4” so you don’t give up much room.
On my convertible '72, I cut two 6x9 speakers in there up high and there is plenty of room sticking through to the rear, now with this paint job under way, I have sealed off the two grills on either side of the gas cap.....so under in the center would be totally protected, you could do something similar by taking some dark/black plastic like bixqueen and seal the vents NO ONE intheir right mind would ever think of going UNDER the car for a amp....
much less dig into the back deck for speakers...
thing is, a convertible is just too noisy for tunes anyway....

Very nice clean installation! I mounted my amp to the floor and put the 6X9's in enclosures but with the interior still going in there's still time to easily change. Thanks for the photo.

Yes, well done.
What would work great w/ similar setups is to use speaker cloth to hide all.
I like the idea of cutting holes for speakers to eliminate the "wall" & using round speakers. Some would be very surprised how well 4 comp. small speakers work.
I have a lightweight minimal setup that I don't normally run w/ engine on. The engine makes enough miusic for me.
