I have removed my shroud and fan. I want your C3 dual fan set-up.
I am a nervous fuc_ and don't want any issues after I install.
If I order the dual fan kit, from Dewitts, what exactly will I receive and how should I wire it? Also... What is this temp. switch you include and how does it work? I have the original radiator freshly serviced and ready to go.
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a fan setup and am leaning towards the dewitts setup, or perhpas a be-cool setup - does anyone use a PWM controller on their fans here?
PWM = Pulse width Modulator
Also do the current switches realys turn both fans on when the temp is hit or do you run seperate temp controls for each fan?
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
I run 2 13 inch Spal fans on a BeCool alternator. Complete custom system. I have am adjustable fan controller connected to two 40 amp relays to turn on one or both depending what position my manual switch in in.
I have never really needed to flip the switch to turn the second fan on so I run around town on the hottest days and the temps never get above 190 except for the time I didn't put the rad cap on properly

Do you want to know how a PWM works, I can tell you I have an Electronics background but the better answer is I would leave that alone and go with something less complex.
If you are worried about inrush current if both fans are switched on at the same time I can tell you it is very high depending on the power rating of the fans.
There are also many devices to lessen the instant "hit" that aren't as complex as PWM but you really don't see them too much in aftermarket fan control.
Best IMHO is a simple adjustable dual controller and a simple toggle switch to turn on one or both fans and in case of a failure of either the controller or relays ( I have had them both happen at different times ) I have a big wire that goes directly from one fan through a battery cutoff switch (mounted in my ashtray beside the ejector seat button ) straight to the battery as a backup. I also have a wireless switch which is keyfob activated that ties the second fan directly to the battery.
Have I told you about my anti theft devices yet ?
