Default Trick Flow heads valvespring upgrade

I have Trick Flow 195's with the 1.25" springs...good for .480 lift. I'm upgrading cams, and need to be able to handle lift in the .500" range. Which springs should I use to "upgrade" to handle the increased lift, and what components will I need to upgrade??

Thanks!

Jason

If you are changing the cam, then you should use the springs recommended by the cam manufacturer. Most (if not all) cam vendors have a "kit" which includes valve springs, pushrods, timing chain and gear for each of their cams. Some cam vendors REQUIRE their associated parts to warranty the cam.

You can get 1.25 springs that will handle up to .600 lift (speedway motors), just be sure to check with your cam and head manufacturer to see if they are compatible.. Matter of fact, I would check with them first to see if they have something..

Great advice....thanks. I'll ask Trick Flow and my cam builder for recommendations.

I have a set of LS6 springs and retainers off my Z06.....sure wish they would fit these Trick Flows.
