Maybe so but they aren't put together like one of these cars where your feet lay right along side the transmission with the exhaust pipes running under your seat separated by a little fiberglass. To say nothing about the crappy vent system that leaks hot air around the gaskets in the heater ducts even when they are in pristine condition. Someone gave you good advise above..............drive the car for the summer, then decide. I run the A/C sometimes with the windows down and the tops off to keep my feet cool. The system works good when it's been maintained and properly set up.

I added a heater core cutoff valve on the hose, 180* thermostat, dewitts w/ dual spalls, header wrap, and side pipes: most for different reasons. Together they all help in this dept too. Before these mods, the feet did get toasty, thats for sure. Choose wisely..

Default everbody has a answer

as a new vette owner i have discovered that parts have been removed parts have been added things have been jury rigged and it makes it very hard to fix problems or diagnose as it is not stock especially if you are an average mechanic my car was used for racing and i have numerous problems to fix and i have to buy parts send them back call corvette shops keep the a/c even it dont work try to keep it stock and if you dont save your parts and return to original before you sell the more changes you make the more potential problems you face the vette is a machine that drives and was built well when stock.

I vote keep it.. I am putting mine all back together with the a/c system included, changing to r134a. I also will spend a lot of time and effort on the wiper door and all that mess so that it works correctly, although I will most likley never use it. I just like everything to be there and work right as it was or close when it was new.

Welcome to the club. I take it English isn't your first language. Some profile details would be good, such as where you're from...

"My cars PO was Bubba".

I think I did put where I'm from, Oakland, California, but I'll double check just to make sure. I think that if I can find a cheap AC bracket and a AC compressor for my 350 I'll probably keep it.
