Clutch or Transmission Problem????
Please feel free to offer a suggestion on where you beleive my current problem lies.
At the track this weekend, on first two time shots I was unable to shift from 3rd to 4th. On the last run I got it in by I short shifted a bit, I was treed pretty bad so day was over. Had this problem at the track 2 weeks ago, we made a slight adjustment on clutch linkage and I was able to go a couple rounds without any problems.
So at the track I have had problems with the 3 to 4 shift on 4 of my last 7 runs. There is something wrong.
On the street there is no noticeable problem with any of the shifts, it is only at the track shifting about 6300rpm and only on the 3-4 shift which I would say is the easiest. Due to the fact that it only happens on the 3-4 shift I would guess that I have a synchro going bad in the trans. I would think that if it were the clutch I would see problem on the other shifts.
Clutch is a centerforce DSX, trans is an M-20 Muncie. Clutch is relatively new put in last year, I swapped out my original M-21 with the M-20 last year, as it was available figured why not, but looks like it may be going back in.
Any opinions?

Which shifter is in the car. I would check to make sure all the linkage is tight and adjusted properly. The stock linkage is prone to bind up under hard high rpm shifting. The Hurst shifter is much better but needs to be adjusted properly.
