Does anyone know the temerature at which the stock electric fan switch (on a '81) turns the fan on and the temperature that it turns it off? I am thinking about using this switch to trigger a non-stock fan that I am installing. Thanks.
Advance Auto sells an adjustable electric fan switch kit for $19. The temp probe is attached to the backside of the radiator. It's operating temp range is pretty broad. I opted for one of these since I figured that an in the block temp switch would probably be about the same money. I have not time to get mine hooked up yet because my project is not that far along.
Be cool!

Comes on @ 220 and off at 200. I've seen aftermarket corvette suppliers who sell a replacement for this switch, which is installed in head between #s 8 & 6 cylinders, which comes on @ 200 and off at 180, if I remember correctly.
Check with Ecklers, Mid America, or Corvette Central, believe it was one of those.
