Anybody successfully adjust shifter throw
I have a 1980 4-speed and want to adjust the shifter throw so that it's shorter. I tried unsuccessfully last year. It worked fine for a while and then one day got stuck in 2nd and couldn't get out. :o
Is there more to it than just dropping the shifter rods down 1 hole on the levers?

Just did this last weekend. There is no trick to it, it is just time consuming to get correct. Take all the hardware off the linkage and clean it up, lock the shifter in neutral with your little shim (I believe it is 5/8 and I just used a 5/8 L bracket I had and bent it up), put your hardware back on in the short throw holes, tighten up the jam nuts back up.
