I've seen the adapter plates that seem to be the common with the LSx swaps, but I was wondering if there were any kits out there that included the rest of the mount without being an adapter plate? I would like to run solids. I picked up a 6.0L and would like to mock up the engine soon.
I read your first post earlier but it wasn't really clear what you were asking about. You can use any engine mount you like with the adapter plates. You can also use the 4-speed trans although you will have to buy some extra parts to fit it to the LS engine.

You can use the muncie with the LS motor. You will need an extended pilot bushing to accomplish this. I got mine from Day Motorsports. The stock bellhousing will mount right up to the LS motors. There will be an unused hole in the block IIRC but it should be no problem. Bolt the trans to the bellhousing as normal.
Me manning the jack. Don guiding motor/trans. Mike supervising.

I don't know of anyone that has a one piece mount /adapter,but I'm sure that they are out there. You could build a set pretty easy.

I am sure you guys understand that the adapter plate bolts to the motor. Then you put your choice of standard small block chevy motor mounts on top of the adapters. Solid, urethane, rubber, whatever.
all the adapter plate does is a flat plate that bolts to the four LS engine bosses and provides three holes to mount an old style chevy motor mount to at a location relatively similar to the height and distance from the rear of the block as an old chevy V8. speedhound plates get you closest to the OEM motor position which i found best as far as downstream problems like tranny location, etc.
how much do the speedhound plates run? I want to be close to stock location and plan on running solid mounts. I'm still reading through all of the 70+ pages about the LS swap. I'm starting out with the truck 6.0L, will I run into issues with the oil pan? What's the part number on the pilot bushing I need? What flywheel should I run for my muncie?
i would move your questions onto the end of the record setting sticky at the top of the page.. it will get better attention there usually..
i don't recall the p/n but i had to do the same with the pilot bushing. i actually used the GM part which is called an "outer pilot bushing" and sits in the larger diameter recess at the rear of the crank.
i'm using the 6.0L all aluminum from a trailblazer SS and switched the intake for an LS6 setup. using the camaro pan.
check the other sticky where members listed some basic combo information, then PM whoever has a combo closest to yours.
www.speedhound.com for the plates you need. Trey reads the big sticky as well and responds quickly.
i tried his z-bar plate too, but it didn't work for my LS2.. i designed a different simple bolt on bracket that worked nicely instead.
i have a tko600 behind mine with an LS7 clutch, manually operated. with a long t.o. bearing, it has nice geometry and feel. i run the stock LS2 manual tranny flywheel.
I'm running a truck LQ9 6.0 and Richmond 6 speed.
Speedhound has a website. I bought the plates and Z bar mount from them. The mounts keep the motor in stock location.
The truck pan wont work. You'll need an F body or vette pan. Also get the matching pickup, windage tray, dipstick and tube.
I used the LS7 pilot bushing pn 12557583.
You'll need an LS1 or 7 flywheel/pressure plate/disk combo. This will work with the Muncie if it has a 26 spline input shaft.
The LS clutch requires a 168 tooth bell housing. I got my 621 housing from Keisler with vette clutch arm. It's also machined for the extra bolt hole.
This setup works nicely with a longer than stock throwout bearing.
