There is a trim plate attached to the driver's door pillar post. These years were different I believe to what we are used to seeing-if I'm not mistaken, these cars had like say DIII, which would be something like D=April, III=3rd week, so it'd translate to third week of April '81. You'll have to post your actual trim tag info for any of us to decipher it. Just found out that '81's begin with "B", then should say like 05A, which would be 5th month of production, "A" equals first week, "B" second week and so on.

1g1ay8764b5100001 to 1g1ay8764b508995 These cars were built at Bowling Green and the build sheets are on record there thru the museum.
