Im not happy with the ride height with the 8 inch bolts and my new 9 leaf steel spring.
I only need about 1 inch more so Id like to cut down the 10 inch bolt to minimize the possible intereference with the inside sidewall and extra length hang-down.
Out of curiosity, if you have cut this bolt, what was the method you used to cut it down while maintaining the threads near the cut.
Hacksaw, 4inch angled cutter, on the car, off the car, die to retrace the threads, nut to retrace the threads.
I will usually run a die or that is not availabe a bolt up past where I want to cut. I then take a hacksaw, because I have many around and just cut the bolt. Take it over to the grinder and remove the burr and chamfer the end of the threads. Run the bolt or die down and off. Run it back and forth a few times and the threads are good to go. I cut bolts all the time doing this.

a hacksaw will work just fine, if you have a bench grinder, go over and de bur, and chamfer it, as said above. Dont need a die, you can use one if you have one, but if not, dont waste you money.
I use a cut off wheel, and a bench grinder, sometimes, just a file.
I like to put a nut exactly where I want to cut, then I rest the hacksaw blade against it to keep my cut perpendicular. Then chase the nut up and down a few times until the threads smooth out. (then throw that nut away )
