Default New oil pump / extra components?

In process of replacing oil pump, main seal, etc.. and want to know what other parts, sleves should also be replaced. What all comes with new oil pump? is there a connecting rod and is it easy to replace from bottom?

Nothing comes with the oil pump. You have to transfer your pick up tube onto it. Some guys weld it to the pump once the depth has been set. I welded a "bracket" to the tube and then bolted the bracket to a pump cover bolt, after the depth was set.
Yes there is a drive rod that fits up into the distributor shaft.

I ordered a new pickup tube and new high volume pump. So there is a shaft "above" the pump & sleeve that then connects with the distributor shaft or does the distributor shaft go down to the sleeve & pump? How do you connect & install the shaft? from the bottom?

G'day again reddog. Below is a page out of "How to Rebuild your Small Block Chevy". The top right photo shows the oil pump shaft with the plastic sleeve and the Shaft Extension fitted. The Distributor drive tang fits into a slot in the Shaft Extension. Incidentally, this page also shows how to make a tool to push the oil pick up into the pump. Might be of some use to you. In fact, you might consider buying one of these books, it's been my "bible" for years now.

Get yourself a new oil pump driveshaft that has a metal sleeve permanently attached to it. It's better than that nylon/plastic sleeve used originally. And get yourself a Felpro one-piece oil pan gasket. Much easier to work with when you're working upside-down trying to reinstall the oil pan.
