i was looking at my manifolds and there is a tube that goes from the air filter to the manifold...when i replace them with the headers, there is no hole to connect the header to the air filter.
BTW the cost of these kits is just stupidly expensive, take the hot air hose (the aluminum expando hose that connects to the air cleaner ***'y) and go to a local parts store, buy a section of tailpipe that the hose fits inside or over, then take that pipe and slot it with a dremel tool - you can then hose clamp it to one of the header tubes...overall cost - about $4
This air tube as you know is for your carbs choke. When you put your headers on, you need to worry about this hot air tube. Your car will still start without it.
I totally removed mine when the headers went on and also disconnected the vacuum lines to the flappers in the air cleaner snorkels so they always are in the open position. No problems starting, even in cold weather.
