Onto a project that has been on hold, now that i have a new shift shaft seal and no more leaks, how would i go about lining up the shift lever with a p-r-n-1-2-3 on the console, indicator is off about half
a number. if you put it in D you are in 2nd. D is lined up with N and so on and so forth, thanks guys. Oh-it is a 1979 turbo 350!!
The shifter has a lever on it that slides in the indicator (number 5). This lever can be adjusted.
1) Put the shifter in neutral.
2) Take the screw loose (number 4) holding the link and move it until the indicator shows neutral.
3) Tighten the link screw to about 3 lbs of torque.
Thank Willcox corvette, everything lines up nicely, by the way, i purchased 2 door panels from you a couple of years ago, very happy with the price and quality!! Thanks again
