78 Replacing Top Speedometer
Im planning on replacing my top speedometer cable probably tomarrow..any idea of how long it would take? And what would be the easiest way of doing it? I guess I have to take out the dash..but I don't know where to start...

Just did my 79 last month, it is accessable from below and i am 6ft. tall.
move the seat all the way back, pad the door sill, grab a small flashlight, remove the lower
steering column cover, i think 4 screws, the vent tubing[plastic] snaps apart, you can now see the cable,push the clip on the speedo towards the back of the car, cable
pops off, remove through the firewall, installation is the same but now you do not have to push on the speed clip, cable will snap on. 15 minute job.
